Insurance & Payment Options
What’s Changing
As of November 1, 2025, I am no longer in network with Aetna, or Cigna insurance company.
As of February 7,2026, I am no longer in-network with Anthem BCBS insurance company.
This change allows me to focus fully on client care without the restrictions, delays, and administrative burdens of insurance billing. While I understand this may be an adjustment, there are still ways to receive partial reimbursement for therapy through your insurance’s out-of-network benefits.
This page explains your options and provides resources to help you make the best decision for your care moving forward.
Using Thrizer for Out-of-Network Reimbursement
Thrizer is a payment platform that makes it easier to use your out-of-network benefits without having to submit superbills yourself.
Here’s how it works:
You pay for your session through Thrizer instead of directly to me.
Thrizer submits your claim to your insurance company.
Your insurance reimburses you directly based on your out-of-network benefits.
Benefits of Thrizer:
No superbill submissions on your end.
Faster and more transparent reimbursement process.
Ability to see your estimated reimbursement before you pay.
You can learn more about Thrizer here
Alternative Reimbursement Options
If you prefer not to use Thrizer, you can still:
Pay for sessions directly and request a monthly superbill from me to submit to your insurance.
Use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for payment.
Explore whether your insurance offers a client-facing portal for direct out-of-network claim submission.
If You Choose Not to Continue Care
If continuing with private pay isn’t possible for you right now, I understand and want to support you in finding the care you need. Here are a few options to consider:
Open Path Collective – affordable therapy options starting at $40/session
Local non-profit or community mental health clinics – Referral list

Choosing to remain out-of-network allows me to protect your privacy, tailor treatment to your needs (not a diagnosis code), and spend our time focusing on therapy rather than paperwork.
