EMDR Therapy for Bluffton, SC - Serving South Carolina via Telehealth
Providing online EMDR Therapy for individuals in South Carolina
It's been long enough, it's time for something different. EMDR therapy can be that difference, offering an opportunity to reprocess the memories that have led to unexpected responses and are hindering your lived experience. I offer EMDR therapy in person in Rincon, GA, and online throughout South Carolina, including Bluffton, Hardeeville, and Hilton Head, as well as statewide in Georgia.
Day after day…
You've realized this isn't something you just need to get over. Not an adjustment period. Not something your mind was supposed to release once enough time had passed.
You have to actively remember to breathe when people are talking to you.
You catch your shoulders up by your ears and can't remember when they got there.
Someone raises their voice two seats over, and for a second you're not thirty anymore.
You're standing in your own kitchen and it doesn't feel like it's actually happening to you.
A sound, a smell, a tone of voice… and you're not here anymore, you're back there.
You check the lock twice, even though you already checked it twice.
You've done everything right and still wait for someone to tell you it wasn't enough.
You brace when something is finally going well, already waiting for it to turn.
None of this means something is wrong with you. It means a part of you learned, at some point, that it wasn't safe to let go, and hasn't gotten the message yet that it's over.
How do I help?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a proven, evidence-based therapy that helps people process and overcome trauma, anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges. By using gentle, guided eye movements and/or bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps your brain reprocess painful memories, reducing their intensity and allowing you to move forward with greater peace and resilience. Trained in EMDR in 2019 and Certified in 2022, Shante Breitenbach has been using EMDR to help people process and move past stuck belief structures leading to an improved quality of life.
